NOTE: After getting 0 views on a popular topic right now which has just been fueled by the media stampede, I knew something was wrong with this blog. Please ignore my spam as it is simply for my educational purposes as I continue to explore what works as far as getting the "millions" of visitors that is supposedly possible on this Internet. So far nothing has worked in 6 years of trying but I am confident that someone will read this and maybe even make a comment, if not then maybe this blog has been banned by someone for some reason and that person does not want anyone to know who is controlling the Internet.
After learning a thing or two about networking over the past year, I have come to a conclusion. Networking is a big part of the Internet, in fact it is becoming to most important word on the Internet now-a-days. The most visited sites on the Internet are all networking sites in one way or another. Some are better than others, some have new services and some are easier to navigate. Overall, it looks to me like a confusing mess but the good thing in this article is that they said visitors tend to "stick" with networking sites which makes for better advertising opportunities. My site saskatoonscanner.com has some of the best return rates of any site due to the exclusive scanner feed and local flavor. All I need to do now is design a networking site that mixes everything together and presents it in a package that the entire Internet world can agree on. A very local flavor is an important part of what has inspired me to write this blog. Facebook has surprised me with their design and attention to using the word "network" as a way to organize its members and allow for advertising at a local level. Another new site to watch is SticKam.com with some great new ideas that should force YouTube and others to either upgrade services or face being pushed aside for new technology. Bebo is under review (by me) right now but it is catching on while it catches the attention of the news media. Not much of a surprise, Hi5 has nearly caught up to myspace and will likely pass with little or no effort. MySpace is one big controlled commercial while Hi5 is real people with good tools that allow friends to view profiles and see who is doing what. Freedom is the future on the Internet and sites such as Hi5 and SticKam will flourish. There are still few other major sites to look into but for now I am going to concentrate on fixing up my facebook, bebo and stickam accounts while using Hi5 as always, spamming MySpace, and disassembling YouTube. Oh not to mention fooling around with my new site: SomeThingAll.com
